This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Jugs application (“the App”).

1Who we are

The App is operated by:

We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2What data we collect

When you register for and use the App, we collect:

• Email address
• Account information you provide (such as your name or username)
• Activity data you log in the App (such as climbing sessions, routes, and progress)
• Your connections in the App
• Content you share in the App (such as feed posts and climbing videos), which other users of the App can see
• Basic technical and usage data (such as device type, app usage, and analytics data)

If you signed up for early access on our website, we also hold the details you gave there, such as your name, email and phone number. We use them to stay in touch about the App.

3Why we collect it

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide the App’s features and services
• Communicate with you about the App (such as updates and support)
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it

4Legal basis

We process your data on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to provide you with the App and its features
• Legitimate interest — to improve the App and keep it secure
• Consent — where required, for example for certain communications or analytics

5What other users can see

Certain information is visible to other users of the App. This section sets out what is visible and to whom.

(a) A user with whom you are connected can see your name and profile photo, your climbing activity, and the list of other users with whom you are connected.

(b) A user who is connected to a user with whom you are connected can see your name, your profile photo, and the fact that you are connected to that user. Such a user cannot see your climbing activity.

(c) Any person in possession of an invitation link or QR code generated by you can see your name and profile photo prior to signing in to the App. Each invitation may be used once and expires after a set period.

A connection is established only where you share an invitation link or QR code and the recipient accepts it.

6Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the App (such as hosting and analytics providers), and only to the extent necessary. These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions. Information visible to other users of the App is described in section 5.

Aggregated, anonymised route feedback (such as favourite counts and difficulty votes) may be made available to the gym where the routes are located. Such data does not identify individual users.

7How long we keep it

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless we are legally required to keep it longer.

8Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Slovakia, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov SR).

9Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by email.
